2025 MDCGC GC Research Award

The Maryland and DC Society of Genetic Counselors (MDCGC) Awards Subcommittee aims to provide funding for member-initiated research proposals and publication initiatives. This current award is open to any full, associate, or student member in good standing of the MDCGC. We can accept requests for up to $2500.00, but please keep in mind that we may award more than one proposal and therefore the issued funds may be lower than the requested amount. 

Applications are due Friday, August 29, 2025. No applications submitted after this date will be accepted. All applicants will be notified of the decision by email by Friday, September 26, 2025. Please email any questions to info@mdcgc.org

Winners will be asked to present their research at the 2026 MDCGC conference.

NEW: 2025 MDCGC Enrichment Award

This year, we would also like to invite your proposal for any projects that promote the genetic counseling profession and/or well-being of genetic counselors in the Maryland and DC area. This could include, but is not limited to, educational programs, networking/team-building events, or career development opportunities, but should be something that benefits more than just the individual who is applying. Please note that this does not include reimbursement for conference fees, certification or licensure fees, dues, etc.
