The Call for Nominations will close on Friday October 17th at 5:00PM EST.

Nominate yourself or a colleague for one of these leadership positions. Available Board positions include President-Elect, Secretary, and Treasurer. Co-Chair positions are available for the following committees: Membership, Social Media and Communications, State Meeting and Education, and Public Policy.

The Call for Nominations is a critical part of the election process, during which the MDCGC members are able to self-nominate or nominate others for consideration of leadership positions. You may also nominate multiple people for the same position (to do so you must complete the survey as many times as you wish to nominate for that position).  

Please note that only Full Members are eligible to nominate and vote in elections, and only Full Members are eligible to hold a Board of Directors or Committee Chair/Co-chair position.

The Membership Committee will contact all nominees to confirm their interest in serving on the Board or as a Committee Co-Chair within two weeks after the Call for Nominations is closed. Once the Membership Committee confirms interest in running for the position, a curriculum vitae (CV) and brief statement of purpose will be requested for consideration.

A slate of candidates for each open position will be created by the Membership Committee and presented to full members for election. Elections will take place via an online ballot opening in November 2025. Each Board Position will have a one-year term beginning January 1, 2026. Each Committee Co-Chair will serve a two-year term beginning January 1, 2026 (first year as Co-Chair and second year as Chair of the Committee).
